About Us
The British Silent Film Festival exists to promote interest and study of British Film before 1930. We hold an annual festival drawing on archive collections from all over the world. We also publish a series of books featuring articles on British Silent cinema.
The Festival is directed, organised and programmed by Laraine Porter, Bryony Dixon and Neil Brand with the help of an Advisory Board and in in partnership with the BFI National Archive.

The 2012 Festival will take place at the the Arts Picturehouse, Cambridge from Thursday 19 and Sunday 22 April.
